Most of us use computers and the internet every day for our jobs, our health, and our education. However, there are millions of families who lack the hardware, skills, and home access to take full advantage of the internet. We want to change that. TGH is an award-winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit that partners with local schools and community organizations to offer free digital skills training, discounted computers, and assistance with low-cost, high quality internet.

TGH is working to increase economic self-sufficiency by equipping homeless people and those at risk of homelessness with skills to move towards economic stability, enabling them to overcome barriers to employment and encouraging sustained employment. We are responding to the needs of homeless families, particularly young homeless families, that require intensive support to develop the skills to move away from homelessness permanently.

TGH partners with homeless shelters to provide families 15 hours of hands-on internet skills training, with a qualified trainer from a local shelter, through which people explore a web-based curriculum and step-by-step tutorials designed to help them learn to navigate and use the Internet to improve everyday life. Tutorials focus on topics such as helping find low-cost housing, how to sign up for the SNAP Food Stamps program, and how to take advantage of free resources to create a resume and search for jobs online. Participants also receive help signing up for discounted high-speed Internet, as well as free online Rosetta Stone subscriptions for improving English skills. Upon program completion, they are given the option to purchase a new computer for $50. TGH has graduated more than 25,000 people and distributed more than 15,000 new computers.

Nowadays, having access online is a very important matter. The world is fast becoming a digital community. Almost everything can be found over the internet: jobs, information, opportunities, and so many others. This project by RootProject is a very great one. Hopefully, people will share this vision and donate some. 😀

Thanks to RootProject. Humanity as a whole benefits greatly as the gap between the Wealthy and the Poor begins to recede and the disconnect between these groups has been finally broken.

Homeless and Impoverished Individuals will at last gain access to the world they reside in by being given tasks and jobs to do, lifting them out of the cycle of poverty into a life of dignity and self worth. They will also be eligible to earn from the pension fund set up in ROOTS TOKEN once they have qualified for this great asset appreciating long term income generator.

Equipping people with neccesary skills can go a long way.

It open up new opportunities for them rather than staying redundant.

In other words, it will change people life.
